Playing the Game

Challenges of the game, belonging levels and curricula that is targeted by the game are described below, according to all parts of the story.

 

1 Rules of Behaviour  
  Game master Sends a photo of Secovlje Salina Nature Park and instructions for the task.
  Base Sends the task to the avatars.
  Avatars The players must find the boards about rules of behaviour and take a photo of each of them and send them to the Control Base.
  Base Receives the photos and paste them to the right place on the photo of Secovlje Salina Nature Park. Then sends the solution of the task to the Game Master.
2. Arise of Salt-Pans  
  Game master Sends a description of the arise of salt-pans to the Control Base and ask it some questions.
  Base Sends the task to the players and lead them to the board with the map of Saline.
  Avatars Find the board, look on the map on the board, answer the questions and send the answers back to the Control Base.
  Base Sends the answers further to the Puppet Master.
3 Bird Watching  
  Game Master Sends few descriptions of different species of birds and instructions for the task.
  Base Leads the players to the Museum and give them instructions what to do. Sends them a descriptions of some species of birds.
  Avatars Players can see the pictures of the same species of birds in the Museum and they try to recognized them. When they do, they send to the Control Base the names of the birds in the right line.
  Base Sends the answers further to the Puppet Master.
4 Halophytes  
  Game Master Sends the question “What the halophytes are and how do they look like”?.
  Base Has to answer the questions with the help of the internet. Then has to describe the halophytes to the players and give them the instructions to find them and take a photo.
  Avatars Find the halophytes and take the photo of one of them.
  Base Gets the photo and sends it further to the puppet Master together with the answers to the questions.
5 Birds Singing  
  Game master Sends the instruction for this task and a soundtrack of a specific species bird-singing.
  Base Sends them further to the players and lead them to the appropriate place where are some whistler boxes imitating different birds singing.
  Avatars They have to match the soundtrack with appropriate whistler box. There are birds names on each whistler box. The players send the name of the bird to the Control Base.
  Base Gets the name of the species and sends it further to the Puppet Master.
6 Sayings-Proverbs  
  Game Master Sends the instruction and the text with synonyms without the word salt in them and sends them.
  Base Sends the instructions and the text further to the players and lead them to find a board with the proverbs about salt.
  Avatars Players have to match the synonyms they got from the Control base with the proverbs from the board. Them they send the results to the Control Base.
  Base Sends the results further to the Puppet Master.
7 Brine Shrimp or Tooth Carp  
  Game Master Sends the instructions for the task, some questions and some photos about different species of animals among which are also brine shrimp or tooth carp.
  Base Leads the players to the board were brine shrimp or tooth carp is described. Sends the questions and the photos to the players.
  Avatars The players have to find the board with the description of the species, answer the questions and among many photos they got from the Control Base choose the right one - that of the shrimp or the carp.
  Base Gets the answers on the questions about specific species and the right photo and sends them further to the Puppet Master.
9 Traditional Tools  
  Game master Sends the description of the process of the traditional salt production.
  Base Gets the description. But there are pictures of specific traditional tools instead of their names. Control Base has to find the names of the tools with the help of players. Therefore he sends pictures.
  Avatars They get the instructions and the pictures. Then they have to find the names of the tools in the Museum and send them to the Control Base.
  Base Gets the names of the traditional tools. Paste them into the description text instead of the pictures of the tools and sends the renewed description to the Puppet Master.
  Game master Checks the names of the tools in the description and score the points.
10 Clothes  
  Game master Sends different traditional woman clothes and different man clothes and gives the instruction.
  Base Has to choose among the clothes the right ones – first those traditional which women used to wear them and then those which workers in the saline-pan use to wear while working. He asks for help to the players. He leads them to the Museum where there is a woman dummy in the original traditional clothes and the man/worker dummy wearing modern clothes.
  Avatars Gets the instructions. Find the dummies in the Museum. Take a look to the clothes and d try to describe them to the Control Base.
  Base Listens to the players descriptions of clothes and tries to choose the right ones. Sends the chosen ones (for the woman and for the man) to the Puppet Master.
  Game master Checks if the Control Base has found the right clothes and score the points.
11 Salt Weighing  
  Game master Sends the rules how to play the game “salt weighing” and a task.
  Base Explains the players how to play the game and gives them task.
  Avatars Players have to play the game and take a short video of the game.
Finally they send the video to the Control Base
  Base Sends the video further to the Puppet Master.
  Game master Gets the video and checks if the players played the game correctly. Scores the points.
