ICIMSS as an international organization has broad contacts especially within Central and Eastern Europe through its 62 members, and alumni from over 20 countries. ICIMSS participated in six EC funded projects including two in TEMPUS, DEDICATE in IST FP5, the CULTIVATE project devoted to cooperation between cultural heritage institutions such as archives, libraries and museums, DELOS – dealing with the digital library issues and MINERVA project, through its Director Maria Sliwinska being employed by the Ministry of Culture for coordination of the Polish part of the project.
ICIMSS has been also recently been included in the Leonardo project “Training for the Stage”. Although, ICIMSS has taken part in have mainly been oriented towards education, culture, and distance learning, another area of ICIMSS interest is cooperation with the schools. This includes cooperation with school-based European Clubs in the area of European integration issues. European Evenings are attended by the most active school children from the European Clubs, involving participation in quizzes organized by ICIMSS, and performances such as concerts, dances etc. Cooperation with school children also involves support for the school children of Bieslan in which ICIMSS cooperates with over 60 Polish schools.

Another experience of the EC funded program includes DELOS project oriented onto the digital libraries problems. ICIMSS has been also involved into the MINERVA project through its director employed by the Ministry of Culture for coordination of the Polish part of the project. ICIMSS has been also recently included into the Leonardo project “Training for the Stage”. The projects ICIMSS took part in were mostly oriented into education, culture, and distance learning. Another area of ICIMSS interest is devoted to cooperation with the schools. This includes mainly cooperation with the school European Clubs in the area of European integration issues. Organized by ICIMSS European Evenings were attended by the most active school children from the European Clubs, with their active participation in the quizzes organized by ICIMSS, and given performances such as concert, dances etc.. Another cooperation with the school children includes support for Bieslan school children in which ICIMSS cooperates with over 60 Polish schools.
