Students are watching introduction to the game.

There is an old legend in Estonia about Elder of ülemiste. Every year, time of the midsummer night Elder comes to the city guard (he lives in the lake of ülemiste) and asks a question: “Tell me please, is Tallinn finally ready?” And guard should answer “no, Tallinn is not ready, there is lot of construction work still need to be done”. And Elder goes back to the lake. But if city guard will answer “yes, Tallinn is ready”, then Elder of ülemiste will release waters of the lake and floods the city. Character of Elder of ülemiste comes from the past. Our game would like to show connection between history and nowadays. In general we can tell that our Tallinn game has “fairytale” background.

Story is that couple of students (fictive heroes inside game) will make Elder angry. Elder want´s to punish them and gives different tasks to solve. Solving of tasks demands sometimes intellectual and sometimes physical abilities and sometimes both. Constant line through the story is “behaving” – students should show that they are able to act accurately, be polite etc.

Other main line is teamwork. Curriculum subject themes are on the background, they have more supportive role. We´d like to develop with our game not subject skills so much but mainly general skills described in school curriculum. It´s more realistic and more effective.
