I guess some appliances in factories and hospitals.. But listen if there were so few people who had electricity, what was there instead of electricity. Well, the lights on streets were on gas, so were house lamps and cookers too, there were no fridges, trams were horse-driven. There was no TV. How did they listen to the radio?
