Conclusions
The game is very well accepted. The students like it very much. They can choose different themes and they test themselves in new challenges. They learn quickly and new technology doesn´t trouble them. The only problem they find is the GPS´s bad accuracy. The GPS system can be accurate to about 6 m. It might happen that the GPS system shows your position is in water or even some metres below the water surface. This also happens due to narrow paths through the salt-pans (0.5 m) or due to the tide. These facts should be explained to the students in advance.
Students´ comments:
Working with GPS is gorgeous. Every moment you know where you are and you also have a compass, height indicator and you can always see the line that shows the way you have walked on.
For me the imitation of birds was the most interesting activity. At first I was not able to get a sound out of the whistle. Practising enough I almost succeeded in attracting a sea-gull.
I is a pity the game is not adjusted to all kind of mobile telephones. I could play it more often and on my own. I had a lot of fun when I was recording the children´s game Salt Balance.
