Playing the Game

Rules of the game

They played the game on the field of Savaria. Particularly real and fictive location were played the game, which were represented the famous monuments and natural environment of the town. Children used the interface of eMapps.com. Each team had an own username and password. They received photos, videos, voices, map and text objects. The players were communicate, with mobile phone each team. They used the PDA, with GPRS for uploading via Internet. They used GPS to find places. They used the Nokia 6280 for documentation. They used for communicate the chat on the desktop of eMapps.com. There were four teams in the game including 7 children: 2 managers, who were inside in the studio, and 5 avatars, who worked on the playing field. The game lasts for 3 days with 6 levels.

In the desktop of the “manager” we signed the places of the game with pins. With the coordinates of the signed place, children could find the location. the partner of the manager were controlled the outside part of the team. The outside members of teams were solved the task in concatenation. After the documentation the sent the files via Internet (PDA – with GPRS connection).


Scoring

At the end of the day, we scored the uploaded documents. We gave points for the files in the angle of technical value and purport value. We archived the files, for the latter dissection. The main target was for every team the finishing of the levels. We have crated an evaluating table, with scoring criteria.
